WHY GO
Follow the River Wye through Buxton’s Victorian gardens, with colourful planting, family play areas and a welcoming pavilion.
Take a gentle break in the heart of Buxton at Pavilion Gardens, where 23 acres of Victorian landscaping bring together lawns, flower displays, streams and lakes. Follow the promenades, find a picnic spot or let younger visitors explore the two play areas. The pavilion adds a conservatory, places to eat and a gallery showcasing local creativity. A miniature railway and boating lake offer extra seasonal fun, while the bandstand and riverside setting make even a short stroll feel like a proper escape.
